Residents of Florida will want to know about this recent article that highlights the suit being brought against Alta Developers and partners for construction deficiencies. The plaintiff is the condo association of Miami’s Le Parc at Brickell. After many complaints, this luxury high-rise still has defects in construction and design.
According to The Real Deal, the suit is against Parc Brickell One, a joint venture between Alta Developers and Southern Properties Group; defunct general contractor Facchina Construction of Florida; Revuelta Architecture International; and two subcontractors.
The complaint includes a report that cites poor construction and shoddy workmanship. The building is a 128-unit condominium in the Bricknell neighborhood.
Alleged defects include faulty pool deck tiles, pool leaks, cracks in the hard surfaces like the concrete and water intrusion throughout the pool area in addition to myriad other issues.
The developer, Alta, recently completed another luxury project in Miami named Quadro. It was originally an apartment but is now a condo building of 198 units. Located in the Miami Design District, it is made up of two towers that connect and share a sixth-floor amenity level. Here, one finds a luxury pool deck with views of the Design District and Biscayne Bay. Alta has other emerging projects in the Miami area as well.
Companies, such as developers or contractors, who are facing issues with construction defects and negligence should consult a knowledgeable attorney who can protect the interests of the business. Structural defects in buildings can be caused by a number of things, and a law firm that understands the complexities as well as who is at fault can assist in producing a positive outcome.
